Best Hotel Packages for Cherry Blossom Season in DC

Whether you’re coming from out of town to see Washington, DC’s famous cherry blossoms, or you’re a local looking to jazz up a staycation, we rounded up the best cherry blossom-themed hotel packages to help you make the most of some of DC’s loveliest weeks.

Pendry Washington DC – The Wharf

Waldorf Astoria DC

Splurge on a stay at this historic landmark. For its first year participating in cherry blossom season, the Waldorf is offering a package that includes a reservation in a signature suite, personalized cherry blossom afternoon tea, and embroidered pillowcases for you to keep. The package is available for booking March 10 through April 30. The starting rate is $4,150 a night. The option to book the package will appear on the “Rates” page once you have selected your dates and desired room. 

The Capital Hilton

If you want to learn more about traditional Japanese foods eaten during cherry blossom season, consider booking the Capital Hilton’s cherry blossom package. At a starting rate of $289 a night, the package includes a bento box filled with authentic Japanese food items typically eaten during cherry blossom season, such as handmade Sakura Candy and Mocchan Dango Mochi (tri-colored mochi). The box also comes with an informational sheet giving background on each item. Packages are available for March 19 through May 21. 

The Morrow Hotel

222 M St., NE

Do some good for the Earth this season by booking this environmentally friendly deal— 10 percent of each package booked will be donated to the Trust for the National Mall’s “Adopt a Cherry Tree” campaign to protect the city’s trees. The package also includes a chef-curated picnic basket for two and a pair of one-day Metro passes. The Jefferson

See the cherry blossoms up-close with the Jefferson’s Blossom by Boat package, which includes a 1.5-hour private boat tour along the Potomac with a picnic and custom merchandise. The Hamilton Hotel

The package is available March 17 through April 17 and starts at $1,399 a night. 

Hotel Zena

1155 14th St., NW

Stay amid art with Zena’s Suiten Your Cherry Blossom package, which places guests in their “art-and sculpture-filled sanctuary” Gia suites. The package also includes a bottle of Ohishi Single Sherry Cask Japanese whiskey upon arrival and a three-course Cherry Blossom dinner for two served in-room. The package is available for stays between March 13 and April 23 and can be booked here. The starting rate is $1,920 a night. The hotel is also offering a less expensive tea salon package for a starting rate of $305 for reservations between March 13 and April 23.

The Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill and The Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Convention Center

Other than their cocktail options, the cherry blossom packages at these two Hilton properties are identical: Starting at $250 a night, the package at either location includes a room, complimentary parking for one vehicle, and two complimentary cocktails. The Capitol Hill location is just steps from the U.S. Capitol building, while the Embassy Suites location is a newly renovated all-suites hotel. Kimpton Hotel Monaco DC and Kimpton Hotel George
