The lower levels of the Lotte World Tower (the 81st floor to be exact) houses some fantastic food options. One belongs to MICHELIN Guide selection STAY, where chef Yannick Alléno marries modern French cuisine with a youthful and vibrant space punctuated by yellow and gold accents.
Inspector notes: “The live Pastry Library is its signature feature that offers a tantalizing assortment of sweets and confections that guests can help themselves to.”
Another contemporary Korean fine-dining restaurant, MICHELIN One Star Bicena brings traditional fare with eye-watering views. As the tallest traditional restaurant in the world, be prepared to whip out your phone for the beautiful plates and equally compelling skyline.
Inspector notes: “Bicena continues to respect the most fundamental details of slow Korean cuisine such as Jang (fermented sauces) and kimchi, the outcome of time and nature doing their work.”

PARIS – 4th Night Free at Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain
The eclectic-chic vibe behind Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain is rooted in its combination of three smaller hotels, each with its unique and distinct identity. Together, they pay homage to their 19th-century origins but redesigned with modern cues. The interiors are equal parts glossy minimalism and ostentatious luxury, with comfortable rooms lined with plush bedding, fine fabrics, and custom bath products by Codage. Les Parisiens, the restaurant, and the James Joyce bar pull double duty as haute boîtes to guests and locals meaning guests are participants, not just spectators.

Although a bit of a walk (sixteen minutes to be precise), we promise Arpège is well worth the trip. With Three MICHELIN Stars and a MICHELIN Green Star, Alain Passard’s vegetable-based menu is the happy marriage between Passard’s twin vocations of chef and gardener.
Want a taste of authentic French cuisine instead? Head over to Café des Ministères, where chef Jean Sévégnès serves up his signature vol-au-vent, which our Inspectors note as, “to die for” in this neighborhood café-style bistro.

While Admiralgade 26 dates back to 1796 and is located in one of the oldest parts of Copenhagen, it’s decidedly not old-world. A hybrid wine bar, cafe, and bistro, the appealing, modern menu and relaxed vibe serve as the perfect night out.
Inspector notes: “Owner Christian is always eager to let you taste some of the 4,000 wines from the cellar.”

15{d8a8d447f05f03c64398acf0d3c5a745c9c41fc784ba89cd5aecd37177dc7d51} off The Aster
A bit bohemian and a touch retro, The Aster injects much needed warmth and understated luxury to Los Angeles. With 35 suites, the Aster is as much as a private club as it is a hotel. It’s easy to see why with a wellness program that encompasses yoga and Pilates as well as weights and cardio equipment. Coupled with treatments at the Salon and a screening room outfitted with sofa-like seating, you’ll never want to step out onto the Los Angeles streets. Our favorite part? The second screen on the rooftop, which also houses the hotel’s Lemon Grove restaurant and bar.

Butcher shop by day, glowing dining room by night, Gwen by chef Curtis Stone is a thirteen minute walk from The Aster. Offering humanely raised meats from local partner farms, Gwen is named in honor of Stone’s beloved grandmother. Art Deco glamour from top to bottom sets the scene with crystal chandeliers and a roaring fireplace, while upscale cuts à la carte or the multicourse tasting menu satiate diners’s souls with style.
Inspector notes: “The menu is concise and stars house-made charcuterie and wood-fire grilled steaks. Watch from the chef’s counter as the crew deftly cooks high quality meat, perhaps a Blackmore Wagyu New York strip, to perfection. Save room for dessert, like a round of cheesecake nestled in a mound of graham cracker crumbs and topped with a quenelle of mango lime sorbet.”
Another local favorite is Mother Wolf, where chef Evan Funke brings the crowds before opening the doors. Columns wrapped in red tile, olive trees planted across the dining room, and red-and-white patterned upholstery resembling candy canes lend a playful vibe while pasta lovers will be in heaven with so many delectable options.
Inspector notes: “Thin-crust pies charred in a wood-burning oven and a host of Roman pastas — cacio e pepe, amatriciana, carbonara — form the heart of the menu.”
