While it didn’t join the Hilton portfolio until 2017, the Hotel del Coronado has long been a mainstay of the Coronado shoreline just across the bay from San Diego. In fact, the Victorian-style resort has been welcoming visitors since 1888. While the hotel’s historic facade and palatial lobby retain its grandiose charm, the hotel has several more contemporary sections these days, and the guest rooms are modern and elegant, with a muted color scheme and a private balcony or patio.
